Lot Essay

The present piece is a remarkable and extremely well preserved example of a so called military chronograph from the mid 40’s. It is often referred to as a such because of its large size for the time and the reading simplicity of the dial. It is interesting to note the three minute intervals on the 30-minute register used to place a long distance trunk calls known as telephonic section.
