Both of traditional form, on four ball feet, the backs cast and chased in the form of a traditional izba, with geometric and pan-Slavic design, one enamelled overall in white, red, dark blue and turquoise, the other inscribed in Russian ‘From the Priestless Old Believers [Bespopovtsy], a custodian and members of the Preobrazhenskiy poorhouse committee in Moscow’, both marked throughout
5 7/8 in. (15 cm.) high
