BY THE IMPERIAL PORCELAIN FACTORY, ST PETERSBURG, PERIOD OF NICHOLAS II, 1901, AND THE STATE PORCELAIN FACTORY, PETROGRAD, 1921
After the design by Veniamin Belkin, the centre painted with an industrial landscape and inscribed in Russian 'October 1917' below a fluttering red flag, the border painted with a Russian inscription 'Victory / [of] the Workers' and tools on either side, masked Imperial Porcelain Factory mark and blue overglaze hammer, sickle and cog, and date '1921'
