NOTE :
Xiong Shiyi (Hsiung Shih-I, 1902-1991), a native of Jiangxi, was a renowned playwright, writer, and translator of English plays into Chinese. In 1932, he travelled to London to pursue further studies. After moving to Hong Kong in 1955, he became one of the founders of Tsing Hua College. His collection of Chinese paintings is of high quality.
