Lot Essay

The Chronometre Bleu, often simply shortened to “CB” by Journe aficionados, has become a cult classic in modern independent watchmaking due to its combination of affordable price, unusual case material and highly distinctive dial. Bought new from the Hong Kong boutique by a well-known F.P. Journe collector the watch has been well loved, but due to their increasing number of watches they have decided to share this piece with a new custodian.
