Lot Essay

The Tourbillon Souverain, F.P.Journe's horological masterwork, is distinguished by its complications that combine a one minute tourbillon with a remontoir. The remontoir provides a constant force to the balance, hence maintaining an equal rate of force whether the watch is fully wound or not and increasing precision. In the second generation of the Tourbillon Souverain watches, such as the present lot, F.P.Journe added a dead beat second indication. This watch is further distinguished by its F.P.Journe platinum bracelet.
