Lot Essay

Fresh to the market and consigned by the original owner, the presently offered wristwatch is a very attractive example of a “Big Red” Daytona reference 6263, the name derived from the bright red "Daytona" designation, a most popular model in today's market.

The reference 6263 was first introduced to the market in the early 1970s where the “Daytona” designation is found on examples from the mid-1970s onwards. The presently offered watch dates to circa 1983 and has been well-preserved over the last few decades. The black dial and white subsidiary dials are clean and the red Daytona designation retains is vivid color. Furthermore, on closer inspection of the dial, one will notice that the dial boasts a second signature, the sought after designation, Tiffany & Co.
