Lot Essay

'I am only trying to paint as truthfully as I can, and that which my eyes see and perhaps what I unconsciously feel. ... Of course Light interests me as much as ever, but I am seeking it more under the 'everyday aspect' of nature. ... It is surprising what beauty enveloping light gives to ordinary things in nature and instead of them becoming more commonplace, they become more and more filled with charm ...'
