CULTURED PEARLS
After years of experimentation by three ingenious Japanese men (Dr. Tokichi Nishikawa, Tatsuhei Mise and Kokichi Mikimoto), in 1921, round cultured pearls first appeared on the market. Cultured pearls became the latest fashion when style icons like Jackie Kennedy Onassis, Audrey Hepburn and Coco Chanel began wearing them.
