Entirely fresh to the market and consigned by the family of the original owner, the yellow gold reference 130 offered here for sale is a wonderfully honest and charming example of this landmark model. Used regularly over the last 75 years, the passing of time has naturally not left the case entirely unscathed but has resulted in a highly attractive watch with charisma and a strong vintage vibe.
The silvered dial has now mellowed to a pleasing champagne colour and both subsidiary dials have tropicalized to a deeper shade that has given the dial a “two-tone” appearance. The “long” signature “Patek, Philippe & Co.” found on the present watch is correct for watches made before 1948.
