Lot Essay

Highly attractive and rare, the present watch has been carefully cherished throughout the years by a private collector. Illustrated in literature, the timepiece features a very well preserved dial and an ultra-thin platinum case showcasing to the delight of the meticulous collector its hallmarks, as well as crisp numbering to the inside of the cuvette.

Considered as part of the noblest complications, the minute repeater was developed to answer the need of knowing the time in the dark, a more than common occurrence when electrical illumination was first non-existent and later only present in major cities. With a very attractive and loud tone, the minute repeating mechanism can of the present watch is working perfectly and made even more impressive through the thin nature of the movement and case.
