Details
Comte Georges de Vogüé, Bonnes-Mares 2002
Grand Cru, Côte de Nuits
Tasting note: October 2017 at the Domaine from half bottle. More evolved nose. Balsamic, beetroot. Quite rich sun ripened fruit with a steely mineral tone on the back.
Very pure softly textured but deep rich black fruit taste, cherries and blueberries. Strong wine with solid backbone of ripe tannins under deep black fruit, Good concentration. The red clay soil character is apparent on the long finish. Little drought in 2002. A wine to keep and nurture for 15 years easily. Great vintage. E.V.
