Lot Essay

With impressive 44 mm. gold case, the Tourbillon Cesar Auguste is not only a beautifully designed watch, it is also an innovative and complicated specimen of haute horology. The second time zone is indicated by a retrograde hand on a sector with Arabic numerals, for day and night indication an aperture displays either a sun or moon. Visible through the dial is the tourbillon itself positioned beneath a blued steel bridge decorated with diamond motifs. The movement displayed beneath the crystal back has aligned barrel, centre wheel and carriage all secured by pink gold bridges.
