Lot Essay

This present watch is one of a very special edition of 5 examples only.

It is set with 635 diamonds (VVS - D-F) weighting approximately 6.85 cts. The difference with a “standard” HM2 was the gold case top plate which was specifically crafted so as to be diamond set, so was the crown protector in white gold and the sapphire “MB” plate (normally in gold on an HM2) Dials were diamond set so needed to be redesigned and crafted.

MB wishes to show their commitment to the watches they manufacture by offering a complete service and check-up in Geneva for any MB purchased through Christie’s auctions. The watch will be serviced in the MB workshop and both the cost of servicing and shipping will be borne entirely by MB. By offering this extraordinary after-sale service, MB wishes to ensure that their watches are kept in the best condition and thus maintain their quality and value in the long term. At the same time, MB wishes to express their deep gratitude to collectors placing their trust in their creations.
