Lot Essay

Reference 6241 was introduced from 1965 to approximately 1969 with pump pushers together with black bezel, available in stainless steel, 14k or 18k gold.

The so-called exotic dials were later called Paul Newman dials, so named after the actor was photographed wearing a reference 6239 Daytona in a publicity shoot for the film Winning.

The present example is offered with fully original and very good condition. The three-colour Paul Newman dial is rare and preserved in spectacular condition, enhanced by the warm tone of the luminous material acquired over time.
