Lot Essay

The reference 865 hunter case pocket watch was launched in 1969 and was produced until 1990 with varying decorative case designs. Made only in yellow and white gold, approximately 220 cases have been decorated using this reference. Each decoration was unique and made by the best artists of that time. In this example, the case was made by Favre-Perret in the early 1970s.

This unique timepiece is finely engraved with an intricate detail to both sides of its hunter case. With the theme, "Les Vases," as confirmed on the Extract from the Patek Philippe archives. To the best of our knowledge this watch has never before been offered in public.
