Lot Essay

The present Emergency II model is preserved in like new condition and sold with the full set of accessories.

The Emergency is the world’s first wristwatch equipped with an authentic dual frequency distress beacon: a marvel of miniaturization and technical sophistication. This titanium multifunction electronic chronograph is defined by its dual frequency transmitter that launches alerts as well as guides homing and rescue operations. Featuring a revolutionary rechargeable battery, a miniaturized transmitter and an original integrated antenna system, the Emergency is an indispensable safety and survival instrument for professionals and adventurers.

It is powered by a thermos-compensated quartz movement with a micro transmitter, it features a crown to its centre which operates by rotating, pulling and pressing the entire set of functions. The additional crown below is for emergency use only. It works with two different frequencies over 24 hours, a digital signal is sent to the satellite on the frequency of 406 MHz meanwhile the second, analogue signal is transmitted on the rescue frequency of 121.5 MHz.

The Emergency II must be reprogrammed after each emergency.
