Lot Essay
Consigned by the descendants of the original owner the present ref. 130 has never been offered in public before. Recently serviced at Patek Philippe in Geneva it is preserved in very good overall condition, still retaining the International Customer Service tag and the sticker to the case back.
The appeal of this ref. 130 is further enhanced by its rare dial layout, combining Roman numerals to 6 and 12 o’clock with short baton numerals as opposed to the better known dots or thin oversized batons.
Research has revealed that it is only the third example of this model in pink gold featuring this layout to appear in public to date, all with the “long” Patek Philippe & Co. signature.

Reference 130 is illustrated in Patek Philippe – An Authorized Biography, Nicholas Foulkes, 2016, p. 168, further examples in the Patek Philippe Museum - Patek Philippe Watches, Vol. II, pp. 262 -265.
