Lot Essay

Born from the race to manufacture amongst the world’s first self-winding chronographs, the present wristwatch features a highly readable dial turned to a most unusual and attractive purple colour.

Manufactured at a time when Movado was collaborating with Zenith, the present chronograph can be considered as a very attractive timepiece and important chronograph of the manufacture, with a stainless steel case of perfect proportions as well as the 3019 PHC El Primero movement. Complementing its overall appeal, the wristwatch was manufactured with a stainless steel Zenith bracelet made by the celebrated bracelet marker Gay Frères. It is furthermore preserved in excellent overall condition.
