The present timepiece is part of the second series, produced between 1935 to 1953 with calibre 12 120.

Reference 96 was introduced in the market in 1932 featuring either subsidiary or sweep centre seconds. In this year, Charles & jean Stern bought over Patek Philippe & Cie. It is the beginning of referenced watch in the company.
Replaced by the reference 3796 in 1982, reference 96 was produced in in yellow, pink or white gold, platinum and in stainless steel and was made in four series.
