Lot Essay

Limited to only 90 examples, the present timepiece is offered in extremely good condition.

Based on Breguet most important historic designs, the “Type XX”, refer to one of the most iconic pilots wristwatch designed for the French Air Force. Back in the 1950s, the French Air Force Army commissioned Breguet and few other watchmakers to create a timepiece for their pilots. The watches are required to meet a few conditions which include a chronograph with a flyback function, this enabled pilot to reset the chronograph and restart immediately by using a single pusher, a 35 hours’ power reserve and luminous hands.
