Even though Rolex has been producing Arabic dials from as early as the 1950s (to develop the needs of the Middle Eastern market), this was usually only done by special request and not by mainstream production. Indeed, it was not until 2016 that Rolex finally decided to introduce the Day-Date 40 Arabic Edition. Whilst not limited in production, this special model is only supplied to select dealers in the Middle East and is therefore extremely rare. Well recognised by its 40 mm. diameter, the very exclusive ice blue coloured dial is made specially for platinum watches, and is made further limited by its featuring of an Arabic calendar and Arabic numerals. The present example, representing a true mixture of modern charm and vintage aesthetic, comes wcomplete and is in extremely well preserved condition.
