Lot Essay

Consigned by an important Kuwaiti collector, the present timepiece is offered in pristine and excellent condition and is believed to be the first of this model to appear at Christie’s today.
Jaeger-LeCoultre ref. E562 also known as "disco volante" or "flying saucer" is characterized by a stainless steel prominent bezel and by a winding crown almost hidden on the side. Furthermore, lugs are hidden by the bezel, allowing the strap to disappear under the case. With a large polished bezel, an unusual blue dial and automatic movement, these ultra-thin watches provide a stylish alternative to a large sport watches.
