Lot Essay

The present watch is number 104 of a limited edition of 150 examples made in 1993 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the English crown jeweller Garrard The Crown Jewellers, one of Patek Philippe's distinguished retailers.

To the best of our knowledge the present ref. 3998 has never been offered in public before.

Reference 3998S, the commemorative special edition of reference 3998, is distinguished by the Breguet numerals as opposed to the applied baton numerals of the regular version.
