Lot Essay

Reference 5059 was launched in 1998 and discontinued in 2006. Together with the reference 5050, these two watches are the only watches of their period to have been produced with their combination of features. Additionally, the 5059 is the first watch produced since the legendary reference 2497 and reference 2438-1 with sweep centre seconds on a perpetual calendar.

To the best of our knowledge the present ref. 5059 has never been offered in public before.
