Lot Essay

The reference 3800 was produced from 1981 to 2006 and offered an alternative to larger sized “Jumbo” Nautilus watches. Considered three-quarter sized, the 3800 was made in a large array of styles in all four case metals as well as in two-tone cases.

The present watch is an extremely rare model, to the best of our knowledge this watch is the 6th identified in the market and has never before been offered in public. From the first series, it bears no date corrector as this is seen only on later models. This attractive example is set with 11 diamond hour markers and 474 8/8 diamonds weighing 2.34 carats total
