TRABERT & HOEFFER – MAUBOUSSINThe collaboration of the American Jewellery firm Trabert & Hoeffer with the Parisian house Mauboussin lasted seventeen years from the mid-1930s through the 1940s. During this period, they produced together some of the most creative and glamourous jewels of the time and quickly became an unmissable place on New York’s Park Avenue. They had an important success with their ‘Reflection’ line which introduce the bold shapes and colours of modern European Jewellery to America. The jewels from this line were made using the technique of casting, which allowed the house to create unique pieces from preexisting parts. The slogan ‘Reflection – Your Personality in a Jewel’ encouraged women to choose the arrangement of the elements themselves to create personalized Jewellery. La collaboration du joaillier américain Trabert & Hoeffer et de la maison parisienne Mauboussin dure dix-sept ans, du milieu des années 1930 aux années 1940. Au cours de cette période, ils réalisent ensemble certains des bijoux les plus innovant et glamours de l’époque et deviennent rapidement une adresse incontournable de Park Avenue à New York.Ils connaissent un important succès avec leur ligne « Réflexion » qui introduit les formes et les couleurs audacieuses des bijoux européens modernes en Amérique. Les bijoux de cette ligne sont réalisés par moulage, ce qui permet à la maison de créer des pièces uniques à partir de pièces préexistantes. Le slogan « Réflexion - Votre personnalité dans un bijou» encourageait les femmes à choisir elles-mêmes la disposition des éléments pour créer des bijoux personnalisés.
