Lot Essay

Diego Giacometti conceived two different tapestry designs in the 1980s, Promenade des Amis, as in the present lot, and La Rencontre. Both were produced in editions of 100, plus artist proofs. The first thirty-five pieces from the edition were reserved for friends and devoted clients in the United States of America. The present lot is number 21 from the edition.
