Lot Essay

The Cartier Crash was first introduced in late 1967, available only in yellow gold and sold exclusively at the Cartier Boutique London. At the time, Cartier Paris, Cartier London and Cartier New York were operated separately as they were in the hands of different owners.

The present model was reintroduced to the market at SIHH 2013 and 267 pieces were produced with only 67 examples fitted with a diamond-set bracelet aqnd only available in pink gold or white gold such as the present watch and set with 471 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling approximately 4.27 carats.
