Jean Élisée Puiforcat, fils de Louis Victor Puiforcat, orfèvre, reprend l’entreprise familiale créée par son grand-père en 1918. Il rejoint au sein de la Société des Artistes Décorateurs, des noms tels que Raymond Templier, René Lalique, Charlotte Perriand ou encore Gérard Sandoz. Il s’inspire des travaux avant-gardistes de Paul Cézanne qui recommande de « traiter la nature par le cylindre, la sphère ou le cône, le tout mis en perspective... ». Ce bracelet est le parfait exemple des bijoux de l’époque dans sa construction, ses rythmes et ses matières. Jean Élisée Puiforcat son of Louis Victor Puiforcat, goldsmith, Jean Élisée (1897-1945) continues the family tradition and joined the company founded in 1918 by his grandfather Émile. He joined amongst the Society of Decorative Artists personalities such as Raymond Templier, René Lalique, Charlotte Perriand or Gérard Sandoz. Inspired by the avant-garde work of Paul Cezanne, who recommends “to treat nature by the cylinder, the sphere or the cone, all put in perspective...”. This bracelet is the perfect example of jewels of the time in its construction, its rhythms and its materials.
