Lot Essay

Designed in the late 1960s, reference 4131 perfectly embodies the flamboyant and imaginative fashion of the time. A superbly rare reference, it is distinguished by its unusual design and integral bracelet with diamond and sapphire-set. This unique shape and setting imparts a nearly ethereal elegance to this stunning example of horological art. Never before, a reference 4131/1 had been spotted at international auction - we can safely assume the overall production was extremely scarce. Further boosting the appeal of this superb timepiece, it is offered in very good overall condition and fresh to the market.
