A VERY LARGE BLUE AND WHITE VASE, MEIPING
WANLI SIX-CHARACTER MARK IN UNDERGLAZE BLUE AROUND THE SHOULDER AND OF THE PERIOD (1573-1619)
The central section is decorated with scholars and attendants beneath a tall pine tree in a garden. The shoulder is decorated with pendent shaped panels enclosing flower blossoms on leafy stems between auspicious emblems.
