Lot Essay

Michael (Mike) Abrams was the son of the New York publisher and art collector Harry N. Abrams. Very much part of the art scene, Mike assembled his own collection, often befriending the artists in the process. He was immortalised by Andy Warhol in a double portrait with his brother, Mike and Bob Abrams, 1964.
