In the late 1970s Paolozzi gifted the present relief to Peter Langan, proprietor of Langan's Brasserie, in exchange for complimentary meals at the restaurant. Paolozzi described such works as 'eating art', and he had similar arrangements with other restaurants such as Le Caprice, The Ivy, Kettner's, Apicella's and Carluccio's.
