Lot Essay


The Honorable Myra Alice Newton, also known as Lady Fox (1906-1981), was the daughter of George Newton, 1st Baron Eltisley. Her father was an active British politian from 1909 to 1942. She was married to Sir Gifford Wheaton Grey Fox, 2nd Baronet, from 1927 until their divorce in 1952. Gifford Fox was a British politician who served as a Conservative Member of Parliament from 1932 to 1950.
