Reference 5059 was launched in 1998 and discontinued in 2006, it is believed that only 300 pieces in platinum were produced from which 46 are known from the market.
Reference 5059 possesses an intriguing complication: a retrograde date display. The date is indicated by a hand progressing along a 240 arc located within the hour scale between 8 and 4 o'clock. Around midnight on the last day of each month, be it the 28th, 29th, 30th, or 31st, the hand automatically jumps back to the numeral 1.
