This endangered species strap is shown for display purposes only and is not for sale. The watch will be supplied with a calf leather strap.
Extremely rare and highly appealing, the present timepiece is situated at the intersection of design, eccentricity and engineering. Exclusively made for the Singaporean retailer 'Sincere Fine Watches', the watch is part of a limited edition of 15 pieces only.
Crafted in platinum with a black mother-of-pearl dial, the watch is a rare variant of the celebrated Tourbillon Souverain and is part of a small, yet significant collection of F.P. Journe watches, made with stone dial. The aesthetic impulse given to the entire watch by the dial is momentous.
Consequently, these limited edition examples of the model are now recognized as an important milestone in the brand’s history and have become highly prized by serious F.P. Journe collectors.
Furthermore, the watch is offered complete with its original F.P. Journe Guarantee stamped by the Singaporean retailer 'Sincere Fine Watches' and dated January 2007.
Tourbillon Souverain
The Tourbillon Souverain, another of F.P. Journe's horologic masterworks, is distinguished by its complications, combing a one minute tourbillon with a constant force remontoir. The remontoir provides a constant force to the balance, hence maintaining an equal rate of force whether the watch is fully wound or not and increasing the precision.
François-Paul Journe's ingenious masterpiece is the first wristwatch combining a remontoir d'égalité, dead beat seconds and a tourbillon regulator.
The Tourbillon Souverain received the Aiguille d’Or prize at the Geneva Grand Prix d’Horlogerie in 2004. It was also elected watch of the year at the “Watch of the Year” grand prize in Japan in 2004.
