Launched in 1921, the Tank Cintrée model was the immediate successor of the original Tank. The curved shape was derived from the firm's tonneau series, made to fit around a wrist, the widened sides with the sharp edges and screwed lugs from the 1919 Tank. The elongated dial was visually enlarged and softened by the rounded chapter ring.
Highly attractive and unusual, the present Tank Cintree is offered in very good overall condition. To create a dual time watch, Cartier decided to house two movements into one case and a dial split in two sections.
