L’arche de Noe
Animal theme has been at the heart of Maison Van Cleef & Arpels since its earliest year. From the liberated birds in 1940s to the whimsical ‘la boutique” collection in 1954, the animal jewellery has always been a favourite amongst collectors. In 2016, the Maison debuted a high jewellery collection ‘L’arche de Noe’, which was inspired by the renowned tale of Noah’s Ark. Paying tribute to the animal kingdom, over 60 pairs of creature clips such as penguins, giraffes and chameleons were created; while some mythical creatures such as unicorn and phoenix were created as an individual, using the maison’s own patented Mystery Set technique.
