Lot Essay

The Monaco was launched in 1969 and immediately became one of the most iconic models for the Swiss watch manufacturer Tag Heuer. The highly recognisable bold square case with two small square sub-dials at 3 and 9 o’clock stands out with the highly advanced calibre 11, one the of the earliest automatic chronograph movement featuring a micro-rotor.
The present set was introduced in 2019 to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the epic Monaco series, limited to only 50 sets and each with an exclusive limited edition giftboxes.
