Lot Essay

Reference 2570 was introduced in 1955 cased in yellow gold and pink gold. It was the first reference of Patek Philippe made in series specifically designed to prevent magnetic fields to influence the accuracy of the movement. Some of the dials therefore were mentioned “Anti-Magnetic”. According to research less than 100 pieces were case in yellow gold. Reference 2570-1 was later introduced by 1958 with differs most to the lugs.
