Prototype movement, with unique dial developed especially for Only Watch, 39mm stainless steel case, unique Anywhere prototype movement cal.C030, universal sunrise and sunset.
A concept all of its own, full of meaning and aesthetic details, the design of Krayon’s Anywhere is implicitly linked to the nature of its functionality. A marriage of pure elegance, legibility and technical sophistication.
It is a hand-wound calibre, in the tradition of classic movements. Its barrel is coupled to an elegant ratchet click. The shape of the bridges is made of solid and fine lines, an inviting canvas for the art of manual bevelling. The numerous hand-worked inward and outward angles establish Anywhere on par with the finest of contemporary executions.
As with Everywhere, the Anywhere calibre was also meticulously conceived and assembled by Rémi Maillat, watchmaker and founder of Krayon. It is a new movement, dedicated for Anywhere, offering a power reserve of 86 hours. It is very thin in view of its complexity: At only 5 mm, it allows a case thickness of just 9 mm.
EXPERIENCE
Thanks to its unique mechanism, an adjustment will be made to the watch to calculate the accurate sunrise and sunset times according to the winning bidder chosen location, which can be anywhere. It is the first time ever a watch with this convenient ability is offered at auction. This simple adjustment can be done as often as desired, and finally gives sense to the sunrise and sunset function.
HISTORY OF THE BRAND
More than a watchmaker, Rémi Maillat, who founded Krayon in 2013, is also a watch design engineer. He has a precious talent: the ability to materialize mathematical calculations into fantastic watchmaking creations with disconcerting simplicity. In 2017, Rémi Maillat presented Everywhere, his first creation, produced in Krayon’s workshop in Neuchâtel. A year later, he followed up with the custom-made, Everywhere Horizon, which won the Innovation Watch Prize at the 2018 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève. In 2020, Rémi Maillat presents his new opus, Anywhere, faithful to the concept of the art of the singular measurement of time. A marvelous synthesis of mathematics, artistic watchmaking creation, the poetry of details and a truly philosophical dimension.
