HISTORY OF THE BRAND
Jean-Marie Schaller created Les Ateliers Louis Moinet in St-Blaise (NE) in 2004 with the objective of paying homage to Louis Moinet by creating avant-garde contemporary mechanical timepieces, crafted exclusively as one-off editions or limited series and evoke two themes: "Cosmic Art" and "Mechanical Wonders". Louis Moinet creations make frequent use of exceptional and original components, including extra-terrestrial and prehistoric materials, in line with the brand’s core values of creativity, exclusivity, art and design. This unique approach has enabled Louis Moinet to win over 40 of the world’s most prestigious awards, including two Guinness World Records (inventor of the first chronograph and high frequency), the UNESCO Merit for Development in Watchmaking Art and Technology Prize; six Red Dot Design Awards; the Horological Creativity Contribution Prize; Gold and Bronze Medals at the International Chronometry Competitions; ten Good Design Awards, three Middle East Watch of the Year distinctions, and more.
