engraving, circa 1496, on laid paper, without watermark, a fine Meder a-c impression, printing with great clarity and contrasts, a few very light wiping marks in places, trimmed to or just outside the borderlines
Sheet 110 x 78 mm.
Provenance
Pierre Mariette II (1634-1716), Paris (Lugt 1789), with his inscription in brown ink verso, dated 1664.
With R. M. Light & Co., Santa Barbara.
Acquired from the above on 15 May 1983; then by descent to the current owner.
