GUIGAL AND BEAUCASTEL
Maison Guigal was founded in 1946 by Etienne Guigal, and is known as one of the most famous producers in Côte Rôtie. The estate is now run by Marcel, the son of Etienne, who took over in 1961. The Guigal family pioneered the notion of single vineyard Côte Rôtie, and Marcel prides himself on quality, which runs alongside his strong respect for nature. This results in a winemaking process of low yields, organic viticulture and limited intervention in the cellars.
