Dans les dernières années de sa production, Jean Besnard a signé certaines de ses oeuvres avec un pseudonyme, afin d'explorer librement et anonymement de nouvelles formes et couleurs. Sous le nom de R. Bluet, il a renouvelé son répertoire, notamment en empreintant des références aux arts et traditions populaires.

In the last years of his production, Jean Besnard signed some of his works with a pseudonym, in order to freely and anonymously explore new forms and colors. Under the name of R. Bluet, he renewed his repertoire, notably by imbuing references to folk arts and traditions.
