Lot Essay

Aid Kenya Watoto e.V. (AKW) is a German-based nonprofit organisation founded in 2014 with the vision to create and ensure equal access for deaf children to pursue their education and future goals. To do this, AKW has built a full boarding school that currently caters to 60 children with a dormitory, classrooms, chickens and a vegetable farm in order to create the right environment for focused and happy learning, cost-saving and income-generating activities and a future independent and self-sustaining school system. AKW further supports the school in building bridges between the local community, the government, and private and institutional donors to ensure financial and social sustainability.

The list of children in need is long and AKW would like to grow the capacity of the school to over 100 children, for which additional funding, support and participation is urgently needed.

Thanks for supporting, and please visit us at www.aidkenya.org!
