Very rarely seen on the market and one of the scarcest and most elusive references of the first Speedmasters, this 2915-3 is preserved in original condition still retaining the alpha hands, BASE 100 aluminium bezel, micro-size Omega logo crystal and the original Omega crown. It furthermore stands out by the very attractive ‘tropical’ dial, its deep brown colour made possible by the individual aging process, the colour of the dial has evolved and changed over time, creating this rich dark chocolate tone. The Extract from the Archives states that this watch was delivered to Nigeria, its subsequent exposure to the hot climate is therefore likely to have brought about the colour change to the dial.
