La bodybuildeuse Lisa Lyon, première femme à être sacrée championne du monde dans cette discipline, fait figure d’exception. Le photographe est inspiré par la beauté de sa musculature et de ses courbes qui lui évoquent les nus de Michel-Ange. Leur collaboration donne lieu à la parution de l’ouvrage Lady. Lisa Lyon en 1983. Dans ce livre la bodybuildeuse y apparait dans une série de nus et de portraits où elle interprète toute sortes de rôles de la dominatrice à l’icône américaine, comme dans ce portrait sculptural de 1982, mélange de force et de beauté, où elle arbore une robe drapeau conçue par Jean-Charles de Castelbajac.
