As Patek Philippe's first self-winding timepiece allying the chronograph and annual calendar complications, reference 5960 quickly grasped the attention of collectors and became one of the most popular modern watches of the manufacture.
Launched in 2006, reference 5960 was Patek Philippe's first self-winding chronograph with an annual calendar and the in-house caliber CH 28-520 IRM QA 24H.
Although commonly seen in platinum and other precious metals, the present timepiece is offered in a steel case with a steel bracelet signed by Patek Philippe. The steel version of the 5960 was discontinued in 2017, before the reference’s overall discontinuation in 2019. The current lot offers the rare opportunity to purchase a Patek Philippe complication housed in a steel case and offered with a steel Patek Philippe bracelet.
